Reverse Tooling
VRT, or reverse tooling, created by Vince Costello and Randy Johnson, is a process developed to shorten the length of time it takes to build a rotational mold as well as reduce cost. Companies with high priority jobs often find this method optimal.
- Shortens lead time
- More cost efficient
- No tooling required
- No model required
- Gets new products to market quicker
- Equivalent accuracy to “traditional” model and tooling method in consideration of the fact that VRT’s are machined from customer supplied 3D data.
